Helen Adams Realty Scholarship Fund Continues to Support Higher Education

Established in 2014, the Helen Adams Realty Scholarship has provided support and assistance to local education through a permanent endowment at UNC Charlotte.

 

The proceeds from the endowment are used to provide merit-based scholarship support to incoming freshmen with a preference given to those from Mecklenburg County, so that we can help those in the community that has given so much to us. This scholarship provides assistance to first year students and is renewable for up to four years, provided the recipient continues to demonstrate academic achievement. The endowed funds help to provide opportunities for UNC Charlotte students and faculty.

 

When thinking about giving back to the education of our community, Helen Adams chose UNC Charlotte because of their size and growth. As they expand, they educate more future leaders, future buyers and sellers, and future real estate agents. As of June 30, 2019, according to this year’s endowment report, the market value of the UNC Charlotte endowment is $230.4 million.

 

“It’s a pleasure being able to give back to the Charlotte community in such a substantial way,” said Jeff Adams, President of Helen Adams Realty. “UNC Charlotte awards more than 1,000 scholarships each year to students and we’re honored to be a part of such an impactful program.”

Helen Adams, a sixth generation Charlottean, founded her residential real estate firm in Charlotte in 1975. The company is now operated by her son, Jeff, and three grandchildren.
